Locky: Transportation. Shaping cycle parking facility of tomorrow. Locky is a bicycle security solution that offers an advanced level of protection for users. The objective was to develop an urban lock solution with optimal security for bicycles. Locky addresses a pressing issue in urban environments – bicycle theft. As more people embrace cycling for transportation, the need for effective bike security solutions grows to encourage sustainable anc active commuting. It not only provides a practical solution to bike theft but also aligns with environmental sustainability. Its two-point locking system and solar-powered operation make it a modern, eco-friendly choice for securing bikes in an urban settings. From Futurewave's perspective, Locky's design and functionality make it a well-suited and forward-thinking solution to a real-world problem. The design embodies a blend of durability and innovation, making it visually appealing and practical. It engages users through its user-friendly interface and the promise of enhanced security. The inclusion of a smartphone app, along with features like the QR code, streamlines the locking process, ensuring convenience and accessibily. Finally, Locky is manufactured through a local production process in Belgium, emphasizing quality control and supporting the local economy. The core locking mechanism is constructed to be robust and durable, ensuring long-term reliability. The integration of solar panels for energy supply demonstrates innovative execution, harnessing renewable energy to power the system. 2. Machine builder wants voice-controlled machines

      Machine builder wants voice-controlled machines

Consumers are now increasingly using voice control, for example when operating home automation applications at home. E.D.&A. is therefore seeing the demand for voice control increase among its customers and their end users. In other words, this means the integration of smart speakers. We equipped our electronic controller with software to operate, in this case, a fan (on/off) and lighting (on/off, dim). An important point in this regard is the way in which our electronic controller tells the cloud what it supports and also how it is secured, so that nobody else can send commands to the electronic controller.

    3. Maximum torque with 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT

Maximum torque with 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT

New, particularly robust gearhead models for the GPT family With the new high-performance gearheads 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT, FAULHABER is expanding its GPT family with two particularly robust models designed for use with high-torque motors. Based on proven gearhead technology, the two new variants offer optimized geometries for increased load capacity, improved dynamics, and maximum performance. Featuring three or four gear stages, a wide range of reduction ratios, and an operating temperature range from -30 °C to +120 °C, they are highly versatile and ideally suited for larger drives with dynamic motion profiles. Powerful and uncompromisingly robust Both HT versions—the 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT—feature a full stainless steel housing that ensures outstanding robustness, stability, and resistance to external influences. This design enables high radial and axial load capacities, allowing for reliable performance and extended service life even under harsh operating conditions such as sudden load changes or emergency stops. These gearheads can indeed support accidental peak torque of up to 14 Nm for the 22GPT HT and 18 Nm for the 32GPT HT. 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT are performing particularly well in combination with larger and more powerful motors for intermittent operation, achieving respectively torque up to 5 Nm and 10 Nm. The optimized input speed range allows full exploitation of the motors’ dynamic capabilities without compromising performance, making the HT gearheads particularly suitable for applications demanding both strength and speed. Thanks to their excellent ability to handle high radial and axial forces, they are also well-suited for use in demanding applications where mechanical interface integrity is critical. Typical backlash is 0.8° for the 22GPT HT and 0.6° for the 32GPT HT, enabling precise and repeatable positioning in a wide range of use cases.
