Sundo is making skin cancer prevention simple and accessible with smart, free sunscreen dispensers at all kinds of public locations. While the first dispensers were made from flat sheet material to keep initial costs low, the new Solido dispenser takes a leap forward with a one-piece thermoformed design. This makes the dispenser stronger, more durable, and built for intensive use. Clem NV helped selecting the right plastic sheet material with a focus on chemical resistance, hygiene and temperature range, and advised in the design regarding material, production and tooling costs. Another example of a sustainable and functional application of thermoformed plastics!

Thermoformed ABS components for Orfit radiotherapy treatment tools

Clem produces custom plastic components for the medical sector, including solutions used in cancer treatment. During radiotherapy, it’s critical that the patient lies in exactly the same position for each session – to ensure the radiation targets only the tumor, while sparing healthy tissue. To support this, Clem supplies for Orfit Radiation Oncology an adjustable support module that ensures both comfort and precise lower-limb positioning throughout the treatment. This module consists of multiple parts, produced in-house using a combination of techniques – including thermoforming, CNC milling, and fine assembly – all within the tight tolerances required by the medical field. Each unit is fully assembled at Clem, complete with position-labeling that allows medical staff to register and replicate the patient’s exact position across sessions. Bodywork for Zeal Runner warehouse robot (winner IF Design Award 2025)

Clem est fournisseur des boîtiers en plastique pour le Zeal Runner, un robot mobile autonome qui travaille avec les employés de l'entrepôt pour rationaliser l'exécution des commandes et le transport de marchandises. En réduisant considérablement les distances de marche et l’effort physique, il améliore l’accessibilité et la satisfaction au travail. Avec sa capacité de charge supérieure et sa navigation précise, le Zeal Runner établit une nouvelle norme en matière d'automatisation des entrepôts. Clem fabrique des composants de boîtier pour le Zeal Runner à partir d' ABS, un polymère thermoplastique polyvalent largement utilisé dans le thermoformage pour sa durabilité, sa résistance aux chocs et sa facilité de traitement. Après thermoformage, les pièces sont fraisées chez Clem et ensuite fixé aux structures métalliques, ce qui permet au client de les monter rapidement et facilement sur le châssis de ce robot. Ce pré-assemblage chez Clem garantit que le boîtier est livré prêt à être installé. Chez Clem, nous livrons non seulement des produits, mais aussi de la précision, de l'innovation et de la qualité. Thermoformed diffuser for The Showcase

Clem supplies diffusers for The Showcase, a device that facilitates the online sale of jewellery and watches. Thanks to high-quality 4K cameras and optimal LED and UV lighting, jewellery and watches are displayed perfectly and in extreme detail, making the online experience equivalent to, or even better than, a physical shopping experience. The diffusers are manufactured at Clem by thermoforming opal plexiglass specially developed for LED lighting. The moulded parts are then milled on a 5-axis machine, deburred and undergo strict quality control before being packaged for transport to our customer in Switzerland. The processing of translucent plastic sheets is very risky and does not allow for any mistakes. In the world of plastics processing, this is considered the pinnacle of expertise. EEVE is the world's first autonomous garden robot that works without a perimeter wire and can both mow the grass and monitor the terrain. No messy wires or antennas are needed; this robot uses a special camera to move independently through the garden. Thanks to its artificial intelligence, the garden robot really does all the hard work in the garden. Clem produces the plexiglass visor for this robot, through which the 4K camera monitors the environment. EEVE approached Clem, a specialist in the processing of transparent plastics, who was able to select the right material for this purpose: a grey-tinted moulded plexiglass suitable for vacuum forming with extremely high transparency for the 4K camera and other sensors. We are proud to present our latest creation: a fully transparent piano, crafted from high-quality cast acrylic. A unique achievement made possible by the close collaboration of companies each contributing their own expertise. Thyssenkrupp & Roehm supplied the premium cast acrylic – the foundation of this project. Clem NV handled the precision work: milling, threading, polishing, and finishing all acrylic parts to perfection. Piano's Maene was responsible for the design and final assembly of the piano. The result? A transparent piano that doesn’t just play – it tells a story of innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration.
