The benefits of scaling up with additive manufacturing (AM) are immense, from enabling patient-specific care to realizing digital inventories. However, companies often encounter a barrier when attempting to establish full-scale production with AM: challenges in achieving consistent results, closely linked to unclarity over standards and standardization.
In this presentation, we explore the nature of this barrier and argue that while demonstrating the ability to produce consistent results is crucial, the true hurdle lies in developing and implementing robust process controls. This requires more than just internal expertise; it demands cross-industry collaboration to establish the necessary standards and standardization that can guarantee repeatability and reliability.
Join us to examine how embracing external expertise and adopting rigorous process controls can help break through this glass ceiling, propelling additive manufacturing into an era of scalable success.
