About us

The XR House aims to enhance the innovation and competitiveness of companies in Limburg by encouraging them to make greater use of XR technologies (VR/AR/MR, serious gaming, wearables, and sensors) in their operations.

The XR House is aligned with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) objective “Developing skills for industrial transition” and the SALKturbo ambition line “Innovation for added value.” Its approach focuses on accelerating and strengthening innovation as a magnet for (knowledge-based) companies, (technical) talent, and future-oriented jobs with high added value. The XR House also connects to the SALKturbo digital priority — ambition line “a digital turbo tailored to every company and sector.”

The establishment of an eXtended Reality House, with a strong emphasis on awareness-raising, training, research, development, and innovative education, is an important step in the further digitalization of companies in Limburg and, in doing so, accelerates the regional economy. This digitalization creates new economic opportunities for innovative entrepreneurship and jobs across sectors including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, logistics, biotech, and the agri-food industry.
