Demival is a sheltered employment company in Deinze that provides meaningful and profitable work for over 450 employees who are distanced from the labour market. In total, Demival has over 600 employees, a large group of whom form the necessary framework and social guidance so that everyone is given maximum opportunities.
Demival is also a production company specialised in packing and repacking foodstuffs (BRC, IFS) such as chocolate. To do so, Demival has at its disposal the right infrastructure, such as hygienic areas and temperature-regulated storage spaces. In addition, Demival also has 3 strong technical departments (ISO 9001): metal processing, cable assembly and circuit board assembly. This means that Demival has the unique possibility of providing total solutions in electrical fitting and installation. It is able to supply fully finished technical end products, for example, starting from the first stage of purchasing goods, then manufacturing components, doing the full fitting, testing and packing. What is more, Demival also has a landscaping and greenery service.
Demival consciously opts for partnerships. Our long-term collaboration with our partners enables us to join the customer in thinking of solutions and optimising the entire supply chain together. Local anchorage with the customers is a great advantage and added value. Demival is also a unique playground for technical innovation and customers can rely on Demival for prototypes, zero series and mass production.
Demival also focuses strongly on sustainability. Besides bearing its responsibility regarding the social aspect of a sheltered employment company, it also invests in the environment. It has an ISO14001 certificate, for example. There are solar panels on all roofs, the landscaping and greenery department works with electrically powered garden tools, bans bottled water and strongly promotes bicycles. These are but a few of numerous other actions it undertakes.
Products & services
PCB assembly
A unique Belgian combination of engineering, know-how and input by Demival employees. This department is often deployed in a manner that integrates other Demival technical expertise such as electrical fitting and installation and metalworking. These three departments can function individually but more often than not they are grouped together, and, in this way, they sustainably unburden many production companies of a substantial part of the production process. This can start at purchasing and end with the finished component or product. The combination of the three competencies enables Demival to collaborate on innovative projects. The most diverse circuit boards can be assembled in this department. The focus here is on production engineering, work preparation, purchasing and logistics. Companies can rely on this Demival department for tropicalisation or coating, potting, through-hole assembly and SMD assembly (both one-sided and double-sided). Having components mounted on circuit boards by employees in a sheltered workshop is unique in Belgium. This can be done in a perfectly sustainable and high-quality manner, thanks to efficient work preparation, testing, training employees and meticulous control. Functional and flying-probe tests are performed, and 3D automatic optical inspection (AOI) is done. A production philosophy is taken as the departure point to first consider design. If necessary, medium-sized and large production series can be preceded by prototypes and zero series. In certain cases, designs are drawn up together with engineering consultancies. Production processes can be speedily set up or upgraded, thanks to our own buffer stock and high logistical flexibility.
Electrical fitting and installation

These three departments can function individually but more often than not they are grouped together, and, in this way, they sustainably unburden many production companies of a substantial part of the production process. This can start at purchasing and end with the finished component or product. The combination of the three competencies enables Demival to collaborate on innovative projects. Co-engineering entails the development of prototypes and the gradual process of using vast expertise in making designs ready for production. Electrical fitting and installation comprises the entire spectrum of electricity and technical fitting. This ranges from wiring and cabling to technical fitting and installation. The department has at its disposal state-of-the-art machinery and flexible processes to be able to handle strongly diverse assignments and to change from the one client to the other according to the project requirements. Professional monitors adjust the machine settings in such a way that the employees can smoothly switch from composing wire harnesses, starting up terminals and plug-in connectors to wiring electric control cabinets, fitting light fixtures, etc.
Metal department

This can start at purchasing and end the finished component or product. The combination of the three competencies enables Demival to collaborate on innovative projects. Co-engineering entails the development of prototypes and the gradual process of using vast expertise in making designs ready for production. One needs vast expertise to do metalwork. At Demival, there are over thirty years of experience and knowledge, which are put into practice by means of modern machinery. This combination guarantees that total concepts are brought to fruition, and these are often accompanied by rather complex metal and/or synthetic processing. The variety of assignments and projects implies that there is a vast range of specialisation fields at Demival, such as CNC machining, sheet-metal processing, deep drawing and punching, welding, etc. The industry and machine construction are provided with all types of semi-finished or finished products (hinges, brackets, encasing, etc.), so that everything can be fully finished in-house – perhaps in collaboration with the other two technical departments in Demival. The construction sector also relies on this department for certain components. The aim for all our projects is to make every effort to find a total solution of perfect quality and exactly the right delivery periods.
Cable confection
Within our Electroassembly department, Demival offers extensive services in the field of cable assembly. Our expertise in cable assembly ensures that we can switch quickly and efficiently between different projects, delivering high-quality and custom-made cable solutions. Our cable assembly includes a wide range of activities, including assembling cable harnesses, attaching terminals and connectors. Thanks to our advanced machinery and flexible processes, we can handle a variety of assignments and quickly switch from one project to another. The combination of our cable assembly with other technical expertise such as PCB Assembly and Metalworking enables us to support innovative projects. In co-engineering, we develop prototypes and make designs production-ready with a great deal of expertise. This integrated offering sustainably relieves production companies of a significant part of their production process, from purchase to finished component or product.
