Complex parts and parts with internal channels
Complex parts and internal channels pose no problem for 3D printing. While there are a few design guidelines that need to be followed to avoid supportation there is a lot possible within these rules. Channels can take whatever form they want and with wall thicknesses as low as 0,5 mm, heat exchange can be optimized greatly.
Protoypes and small series
With 3D printing, smaller series and prototypes can be produced faster and cheaper compared to conventional techniques. The technology allows production in very few steps with fast lead times of 3-5 days for smaller parts as a result.
