These TUNS power supplies have an input range from 85 to 264VAC, which means they can be used worldwide. The power supplies also have a built-in active PFC circuit, which achieves a power factor of almost 1.

The fact that they can handle high peak currents can be very interesting for applications that demand higher power for a short time, but lack the space for a heavier power supply. Furthermore, there is the possibility of parallel switching and a remote on/off is provided to limit the standby power. The output voltage is adjustable and a remote sense is provided.

The standard TUNS series requires a number of external components with the advantage of being able to control a number of parameters yourself. For example, by fitting the right capacitor, the hold-up time can be extended if required. The values of these external components are clearly indicated in an application note. If you want a solution that is directly applicable and in which these external components are already included, then you should choose the TUNS/SN series. The following series types are already available: 50W and 100W.
