Thermoelectric Assembly Solution Laird
Laird has expanded its thermoelectric assembly (TEA) product offering with a series that includes a higher capacity range in a smaller package for critical medical analysis, diagnostic and instrumentation equipment. Previously, the Cool Tunnel Series TEAs offered cooling for capacities up to 39 Watts. The new boosted Cool Tunnel Series offers cooling capacities that exceed 100 Watts to support a wider range of cooling applications. Available in standard and custom configurations, the boosted Cool Tunnel Series offers a compact form factor that fits inside medical equipment with tight space constraints. Laird designs and manufactures customized, performance-critical products for wireless and other advanced electronics applications. Laird’s Tunnel Series feature air-to-air or direct-to-air heat transfer mechanisms designed with optimized thermoelectric modules (TEMs) for high efficiency and improved reliability. Depending on the cooling capacity requirements, the thermoelectric assemblies can utilize one or more thermoelectric modules. Liquid Cold Plate technology & Liquid Cooling Systems
Thermal management of electronic components and systems is more challenging than ever. Power densities continue to increase, while product form factors continue to shrink. Engineers must now consider thermal management early on in the product development cycle to make sure sufficient space and power is available to remove heat from their system. Laird developed Liquid cooling systems (LCS), which are self‐contained units that recirculate a coolant to a predefined temperature set point. There are two types of liquid cooling solutions: a liquid heat exchanger system and a compressor‐based system. Heat pipe integration in your LED and industrial applications
Due to new thermal and engineering capabilities, it is recently possible to realize several successful integrations of heat pipes in new high power LED applications (see picture). Besides the LED-market, this heat pipe technology find also his way in a variety of industrial applications. In addition to the theoretical and thermal approach of technology, Telerex also offers facilities for thermal software simulations, product engineering, prototyping, mass production and global deliveries. Thermal engineering support These analyses can be done at die, chip, PCB, system and machine level and enable us to make a correct thermal design, complete with placement of the fins, a correct fin-distance and design. CoolStar® series of designer LED-heatsinks
The CoolStar® family covers the whole range of cooling capacity from 1000 lumen all the way up to 6000 lumen, what positions them as well in the spot light developments as in the down light and shop light luminaires. The CoolStar® LED-heatsinks will be presented at the Light & Building show in Frankfurt Germany, while global stock is under production to launch by the end of February. The CoolStar® family covers the whole range of cooling capacity from 1000 lumen all the way up to 6000 lumen, what positions them as well in the spot light developments as in the down light and shop light luminaires. The modularity in LED engines which can be mounted either directly or with a LED holder (ref. BJB, TE Connectivity, Bender Wirth) is respected on each design. On top of that some practical features have been added, like two closed wire pockets at the sides which allow to guide the wiring from the LED engine to the back side outside the visible field. Besides the black anodized versions which are commonly used, a “pure white” electro-plating has opted as an option, underlining the high-end looks and blending with the mostly white looks of both the LED engines and the LED holders. Modular diversity – Extended range of connector housings for the ODU-MAC®
ODU’s flagship product, the ODU-MAC® with its well-established spindle locking, is now also available in sizes 2 to 4, all meeting tightness class IP65. The robust metal outdoor solution with its ergonomic quick-release fastener system thus opens up a new field of application. This tight standard solution manages at least 30,000 locking cycles, after which the spindle screw can be easily replaced. New Protec enclosure from OKW is ideal for modern electronics applications
A recessed operating area for integrating membrane keyboards, operating elements and touch systems has been provided on the square cover surface. The top part is screwed to the bottom part at the back with stainless steel Torx screws, and the entire screwed connection is thus outside the field of vision. The PROTEC-series is made of high-quality V0 material in the colour grey white (RAL 9002). The electronics compartment can be sealed up to protection class IP 65 by means of an optional sealing kit (included in the range of accessories) – this is particularly interesting for robust applications, for example in the smart factory / IIoT, central control units, surveillance systems and access and security controls in the outdoor sector.

Industrialized Raspberry Pi as Open Edge Connectivity Ecosystem
The device series netPI is based on an industrial suited customized Raspberry Pi 3 design made to run any custom applications of the Edge Automation. The model RTE 3 comes with Hilscher’s multiprotocol netX SoC additionally implementing all popular Industrial Ethernet networks. With their powerful Pi 3 1.2GHz quad-core ARM CPU the platforms are ready-made for any demanding Cloud, Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) application. The model netPI RTE 3 includes two Industrial Ethernet ports extra to connect to systems such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and others, as supported by netX. An expansion slot at the units bottom accepts extension modules made for sensor/actuator level communications such as RFID, digital I/Os, others or own custom boards. The modular AME series from Cosel
Cosel's AME series includes modular power supplies of 400 and 600W (with 4 slots) as well as 800 and 1200W (with 6 slots). The power supplies are suitable for both industrial applications (EN/UL62368-1) as well as medical applications (EN60601-1 / 2*MOPP). The leakage current is less than 0.5mA and optionally, even less than 0.15mA. In addition, the output voltages have limited adjustability with a potentiometer and are adjustable up to 0VDC with an external signal. The outputs can be individually switched on/off remotely with an external signal or with the 5VDC AUX. In addition, the outputs can also be controlled together with the Global Inhibit. Finally, the outputs can be configured precisely with remote sense. AME series Cosel This series works with an intelligent fan with variable speed depending on the load and temperature. If necessary, its direction of rotation can be reversed. The series is equipped with OCP, OTP and OVP (Over Current Protection/Over Temperature Protection and Over Voltage Protection). There are also alarm signals that monitor the status of the input and output and there is the option of digital communication (via UART or PM-Bus). Improving heat dissipation with CoolMag™
Premo has achieved new advancements with CoolMag™ regarding heat dissipation techniques in combination with new techniques to produce iron powder magnetic core (FeSi6) to increase the impedance versus frequency and at the same time extend the saturation level of the core. Designed for OBC and/or DCDC converters where filtering at the output is mandatory and the increasing of power delivered cause heating in the power inductive components and other critical failures such as magnetic core saturation. Premo - CoolMag CoolMag™ is a thermally conductive compound able to fill any space between winding and core (and between core and heat-sink in case of use aluminum or magnesium dissipation). The thermal conductivity of CoolMag™ can be between 1.5 and 1.8 W/mK, which is enough to reduce the temperature gradient in more than 40ºC. CoolMag™ makes extending the operation temperature range possible, increasing the reliability of power inductive components as well as of OBC and/or DCDC converters.

Kontron presents D3713-V/R mITX motherboard for AMD Ryzen(TM) Embedded V1000/R1000 processor
Ideal for demanding graphics applications in professional casino gaming systems, medical displays, thin clients and industrial PCs through AMD Radeon(TM) Vega Graphics. The industrial motherboard D3713-V/R mITX supports the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V1000 and R1000 series processors with integrated AMD Radeon™ Vega Graphics and can be used in applications with high graphical requirements like casino gaming, medical displays, thin clients and industrial PCs. Signal connectors are widely used in Sensor-, Machine Vision-, Rail Transit-, Marine-, Factory Automation and Oil & Gas applications. You can integrate these connectors yourself into your own machine fleet, or we can provide complete assemblies for you. Both options are available. Innovative Web Panels and Control Panels with Scalable Performance
Kontron is expanding its Human Machine Interface (HMI) portfolio with new powerful Web Panels and Control Panels with Scalable Performance, targeting device and machine control as well as building automation. Characterized by an attractive design, IPS displays with high resolution in 7 inch, 10.1 and 15.6 inch, high brightness and capacitive multi touch technology. Specifically designed for use in industrial environments, they feature a rugged touch screen in an aluminum or stainless steel frame, exhibiting IP65 protection on the front side. The devices of both product lines are based on Single- or Dual-Core Arm® NXP i.MX6 processors, offering scalable performance. The Web Panels are suitable for flexible visualizations on devices and machines. They visualize HTML5 content via a performance-optimized browser based on Chromium. Alternatively they are available with the slim Micro-Browser from iniNet, which enables shortest reaction times for PLC controls with an integrated webserver from CODESYS. The Control Panels provide on the rear various fieldbus interfaces and are optionally available with the CODESYS Soft-PLC to quickly and efficiently implement sophisticated automation and visualization solutions. If required, the devices of the Control Panel series can be supplemented with Web Panels to display visualization contents at other locations. Linux Embedded serves as the operating system. TUNS Series by Cosel
The TUNS series from Cosel is an exceptional power supply in several respects. Firstly, the power supplies of this series are extremely compact. The power ranges from 50 to 1200W and the 700W has the dimensions of a smartphone, for example. It has a small surface area, but it is also extremely flat. In addition, the operating temperature may vary between -40°C and even +100°C, and all this without derating (loss of power). TUNS Series by Cosel These TUNS power supplies have an input range from 85 to 264VAC, which means they can be used worldwide. The power supplies also have a built-in active PFC circuit, which achieves a power factor of almost 1. The fact that they can handle high peak currents can be very interesting for applications that demand higher power for a short time, but lack the space for a heavier power supply. Furthermore, there is the possibility of parallel switching and a remote on/off is provided to limit the standby power. The output voltage is adjustable and a remote sense is provided. The standard TUNS series requires a number of external components with the advantage of being able to control a number of parameters yourself. For example, by fitting the right capacitor, the hold-up time can be extended if required. The values of these external components are clearly indicated in an application note. If you want a solution that is directly applicable and in which these external components are already included, then you should choose the TUNS/SN series. The following series types are already available: 50W and 100W.
