About us

TeamThe UAntwerp Solar Boat Team is a team of bachelors and master’s students from the Faculty of Applied Engineering at the University of Antwerp. Every year, we work on the design and construction of a boat powered by solar energy.

With this solar boat, we participate ininternational races against other universities and professionals. A competitive environment ensures that we explore new limits and learn to use green energy as efficiently as possible.

Last year, we upgraded our solar boat with autonomous capabilities to compete in the AI class of the prestigious Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. Following a year of intensive innovation, we achieved first place by winning all 3 disciplines.
