A manufacturer of water softeners wanted to be able to reach his appliances via the Cloud. This manufacturer supplies his equipment through dealers, some of which offer full service contracts. The link to the Cloud server provides the usage data that the service organization can control optimally.
This manufacturer of water softeners also wanted to offer the end-users an APP to consult and/or modify the status of the device-which is often in the basement or garage-anywhere in the home. E.D.&A. has developed a new customized electronic controller for this customer with integrated Wifi module. The new control and communication print is mechanically compatible, so it fits perfectly into their existing devices.
For the backend software this time we collaborated with a company selected by the customer, which is specialized in Cloud server applications. The communication between the control and the Cloud server is done through the IoT Rest protocol.
